"Esi wait I want to see them first, I'm so excited"
I really did not think I would be THAT excited to get back to this. It's been about FIVE months since I posted something and I wasn't really bothered by that. I think I needed the break to focus on work and school.
I can't promise I will be completely commit to this but I will definitely be on this a little more :)
HINT: I have been wearing a lot of men's clothes and I can't wait to share :)
For all of you Stuart Weitzman lovers, these Aldo boots look exactly like the Stuart Weitzman 5050 boot except more reasonably priced! Go get them quick they are going pretty fast.
Adios!...For now

Marcie

Two must-haves this season are Baroque prints and nude strappy sandals to compliment your spring/summer dresses.
In true Steve Madden style my nude shoes are a very good look-a-like for the Schutz spiked sandal heel which was priced at about $300. Steve Madden offers them for only a third of that price.
You can tone this look down some more by wearing silver or nude flats or even adding gold accents instead of silver ones.
Two more weeks till it's officially spring! :D
HAPPY MONDAY!
Have an amazing week

Marcie

I chose to wear a skirt today (just for le shoot) as a kind of Spring preview. I changed in to black jeans after, with the same shoes and jewelry. This outfit could also be pair with flats for a more casual look. This Spring look out for black and white outfit combinations, black and white stripes (sometimes paired with a pop of color) as well as geometric looks and patterns. I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to some warmth and an opportunity to wear fewer layers. The weather in Boston has been pretty "ugh" lately. As you can tell from the gloominess of le photos, it was pretty "ugh" today and I think I might have rained/snowed a bit (after le shoot).
These last few weeks have been a whirlwind. School has kept me busy and away from le blog and it looks like that might not change. I definitely will not be posting weekly, perhaps every two or three weeks depending on my work load - I will not disappear, I promise :) I will also try to put up "Trends on a Budget" post soon as well as some of my favorite runway shows from the S/S 13 and F/W13 Fashion Weeks (Milan, Paris, London, etc). I am planning a Spring-esque post for next week though :) So keep an eye out!
Goodnight my lovelies.
HAPPY MONDAY!
Yours Truly,
Marcie

and even though Im out of focus, i still think this is a pretty cool shot
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Marcelle and she hated wearing sneakers until she met these sneaker wedges which are pretty much high tops with a concealed wedge. She was completely intrigued by this new creation. She HAD to see what all the hype was about so she bought a pair in black from Steve Madden and when she put them on they turned her into a cool princess with sneakers on. They were just right mix of athletic/cool/laid-back and girly-ness. This made Marcelle very happy because now she has a pair of shoes she can wear to lab that actually look good not to mention the fact that she became a cool princess (with sneakers on). Marcelle and the sneaker wedges then lived happily ever after. (woohoo)
Moral of the story is, those shoes are amazingly amazing and trending this season. For those of you who follow me on Facebook (If you don't you are totally missing out on extra awesomeness so LIKE MY PAGE HERE and dont forget to follow me on BLOGLOVIN'), I put up a picture of Isabel Marant Sneaker wedges which I think started this whole trend. Over the summer, several of the "elite" bloggers wore them and I was little iffy about the whole concept. I mean, the only time i ever wore sneakers around was to the gym or PE or something related to fitness. I would never dream of owning a pair for everyday use (just because its not really me, not that they are not cool lol). However, when I got back to Bean Town, I decided to give it a shot and honestly, the investment paid off. Now, I'm looking for a pair in Burgundy or red and cobalt blue :). Be prepared to see these babies in several posts to come :)
Here are some options in a wide price range. So if you like what you see, feel free to click any of these: Isabel Marant Steve Madden Go Jane Ash
Honestly just google "sneaker wedge" or "wedge sneaker" and a bunch of options will come up but these are the most popular ones.
Anyhu, today was soooo productive, I am so proud of myself. I got so much work done plus I'm almost done with my lab report (YESSSSS) :) Oh and last weekend I had an awesome shoot with Obinna Ukwuani. I was pretty excited because I helped out with it creatively and stylistically. Yup - i styled my very first shoot using pieces of chiffon and tulle. It kind of inspired me to learn how to sew, I think it would save me a lot of money if I made my own clothes. I'm excited to see what comes out. Be sure that you all will be the first to see le results :)
SN: Funny thing, I look tired in these pictures but I got so much sleep the night before....Weird huh? lol
Laters babies :)

PS: Sorry for the inconsistency in le look but it was cold and I had my scarf, my faux fur, my jacket and my black and white wallet thingy so I figured I would try le dress with all of 'em. ok, goodnight! :)
PPS: I realize i talk too much in my posts these days, to those who actually read these I apologize lol, Sundays are just caffeine-intensive days and this always turns out to be an outlet for all my energy.

Here's a little something-something to help make Monday seem less dreary. Enjoy!
Two somewhat different outfits, two somewhat different pops of color. I couldn't decide which way I wanted to go with this look - the neons shoes or the red lips? All i knew was that i didnt want to do both at the same time....just too much pop, no? So here's a sampling of both, you can decide which one you like best.
REMIX! lol......The Red Lips :)
HI :)
How could I go an entire TWO weeks in fall without incorporating leather in my look. :)
Today I had an AMAZING shoot with Ramzi. It was sooooo COLD but it was all worth it :) I can't wait to show you all some of the pictures. Also, this week I will be putting up a post with special guest features from New Orleans so get excited :)
Now back to work :)

This weekend was beyond awesome! I FINALLY got to do all the touristy stuff I've been talking about doing since I got here. I went to the French Quarters, ate beignets and drank cafe au lait at the Cafe Du Monde, walked on Canal Street, dined at the famous Pat O'Briens, got drunk on Bourbon Street and last but certainly not least, I shopped (I really went in) on Magazine Street. I feel like a whole new woman now :) I have to be up really early tomorrow :/ so I'm heading to bed extra early tonight since I didn't get much sleep this weekend.....but only after the BET awards :) (KANYE AND JAYZ WON AN AWARD ALREADY!!! AHHHHH!! :D :D......ok I'm done)
Faith features again this week looking hot as always as she rocks those floral print pants. I always like to wear print/floral items with solid colors to balance everything out, otherwise, if not done right, too many different prints could look a little messy. However, there are certain people who really know how to mix prints well and if you are one of them (I'm not lol) go for it :). This is a really simple everyday look you could pull off just as nicely with a pair of flats or sandals (black, nude or a pop of color, which would be perfect for summer) or glam it up a little for a nice lunch or dinner with a pair of heels. Get with those printed pants they are most definitely hot this season. These pants from Zara are my current obsession and they are their way to me as we speak :). you should be seeing them in an upcoming post. Colored jeans are also in especially those pastel-colored and neon ones. These shorts will also be in a post next week so check it out to see what I pair them with.
Leonie will also feature again along with my first male guest so get excited and tell your guy friends to check le blog. I should be back on here next week YAYYY!! :). I finally got some pictures taken so soon I should be active. Special thanks to Faith and Leonie (and to my surprise male feature) for helping me out while I got settled in, I really appreciate it :) It will be just me starting end of next week but Faith and Leonie will definitely be back :).
HAPPY MONDAYYY :)

So today Ramzi (RAY) did a shoot with me! Just in case you've forgotten, I did a photo shoot with him sometime in March and the pictures came out awesome. You can check out the post HERE :)
He agreed to do this shoot with me last week and honestly I was jumping up and down inside. He is an amazing person and EXTREMELY talented and I am so grateful he took time out of his day to do this with me. You can check out more of his work on his blog http://mr233gq.tumblr.com.
Today, I was feeling a little feisty and a little girly, hence the leopard and the pink but just a touch of it. I saw those pink heels at Zara and honestly it was love at first sight. They just seemed so....different and unusual but in a good kind of way.
Anyhu, it's Monday! Happy Memorial day/Happy Monday!
Yours Truly,
Marcie
