Soulful, Beautiful, Happy Days

This weekend was one of those couch potato type weekends. Aside from a little adventure last night I spent most of my time plopped on my sofa with my reese's peanut butter cups in one hand and my fruit loops in the other as I watched Law & Order SVU (it has to be SVU, regular Law&Order isn't as cool lol). We did go out last night and it was a lot of fun but truth is all I wanted to do was catch up on lost sleep. I'm already counting days till Friday.

It's Leonieee :) She wore this on one of those rare, warm spring days in Boston. It is a very casual, everyday look but you can always glam it up with accessories. Pilazzo pants are still in this season especially printed ones.

She wears:

Top: Charlotte Russe
Pants: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: H by Halston via Bakers
Bag: Aldo
Neck Cuff: Urban Outfitters
Rings: H&M

I wish I didn't have to say it but HAPPY MONDAYYY! :)

Yours Truly,

Marcie

PS: I will be a week from today :) YAY!

Courtyard Strolls

This weekend was beyond awesome! I FINALLY got to do all the touristy stuff I've been talking about doing since I got here. I went to the French Quarters, ate beignets and drank cafe au lait at the Cafe Du Monde, walked on Canal Street, dined at the famous Pat O'Briens, got drunk on Bourbon Street and last but certainly not least, I shopped (I really went in) on Magazine Street. I feel like a whole new woman now :) I have to be up really early tomorrow :/ so I'm heading to bed extra early tonight since I didn't get much sleep this weekend.....but only after the BET awards :) (KANYE AND JAYZ WON AN AWARD ALREADY!!! AHHHHH!! :D :D......ok I'm done)

Faith features again this week looking hot as always as she rocks those floral print pants. I always like to wear print/floral items with solid colors to balance everything out, otherwise, if not done right, too many different prints could look a little messy. However, there are certain people who really know how to mix prints well and if you are one of them (I'm not lol) go for it :). This is a really simple everyday look you could pull off just as nicely with a pair of flats or sandals (black, nude or a pop of color, which would be perfect for summer) or glam it up a little for a nice lunch or dinner with a pair of heels. Get with those printed pants they are most definitely hot this season. These pants from Zara are my current obsession and they are their way to me as we speak :). you should be seeing them in an upcoming post. Colored jeans are also in especially those pastel-colored and neon ones. These shorts will also be in a post next week so check it out to see what I pair them with.

Leonie will also feature again along with my first male guest so get excited and tell your guy friends to check le blog. I should be back on here next week YAYYY!! :). I finally got some pictures taken so soon I should be active. Special thanks to Faith and Leonie (and to my surprise male feature) for helping me out while I got settled in, I really appreciate it :)  It will be just me starting end of next week but Faith and Leonie will definitely be back :).

HAPPY MONDAYYY :)

Faith wears:

Pants: H&M
Shirt: H&M
Bag: Zara
Watch: Asos
Bangles: H &M
Earrings: Second Time Around (thrift store)
Shoes: Zara

It's Leonie :)

<3

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that necklace <3

I don't think I have formally introduced my really really good friend to you all. I mean, I have mentioned her several times but never really had a post about her. So here goes...this is Leonie :) and she is amazing and awesome and she is just IT for me. I love her to bits! She recently just graduated so a BIG, HUGE, GINORMOUS Congratulations to her...again :) She wore this outfit to a friend's graduation lunch. It's  casual but with a Leonie twist.

My week, in a nut shell, was amazingly amazing. I went to an intern event in Houston, met a bunch of interns and networked with some important people from the company. It was fun and informative so "yay!" to that :). Im back in Nola and I'm worn out from the week's events. I know I said I would do all the touristy stuff but I'm so so so so so tired. However, I think I might make a trip to the French Quarters tonight and then go for some beignets and cafe au lait from the famous Cafe Du Monde :)

Leonie is wearing:

Top: Express
Jeans: Zara
Necklace: Aldo
Shoes: Sam Edelman c/o Nordstrom
Bag: Aldo
Lipstick: MAC "rebel"

It's Sunday :( and that means tomorrow is Monday....obviously. As much as it pains me say, HAPPY MONDAY :)

Yours Truly,

Marcie and Leonie <3

Spring Sophistication

I can finally say I am completely settled into the new city and the internship. It's been a busy couple of weeks, I don't even remember last week passing lol. Well, I'm back on my blogging thing and for the next week or week and a half Faith and Leonie will be helping me out with posts. Good news is I have made plenty new friends so the next step is asking someone to do the honors of the taking the pictures of me. I'm hoping a get a few this weekend :) Speaking of which, I haven't had the chance to see New Orleans yet so this weekend I'm going all out on the tourist-y stuff and I'm definitely sharing the picture I take :)

Anyway, this week the company I work for is flying me out to Houston for an intern conference and I'm pretty excited about that. I get to see all the people I worked with last summer PLUS I get see my "home" city again. Yea, Houston!!!

Faithie, looking as sophisticated and elegant as always as she sports a casual look for spring. Cut-out shirts are definitely in this season. She is wearing:

Shirt :  BB Dakota via Ideeli
Pants : American Apparel
Necklace : Kigali, Rwanda
Shoes : Zara
Bag : Zara
Sunglasses : Michael Kors

Leonie will be featuring next on the blog :) So keep an eye out. The next post should be up sooon :)

Hope you enjoy! :)

Pink + Leopard

So today Ramzi (RAY) did a shoot with me! Just in case you've forgotten, I did a photo shoot with him sometime in March and the pictures came out awesome. You can check out the post HERE :)
He agreed to do this shoot with me last week and honestly I was jumping up and down inside. He is an amazing person and EXTREMELY talented and I am so grateful he took time out of his day to do this with me. You can check out more of his work on his blog http://mr233gq.tumblr.com.

Today, I was feeling a little feisty and a little girly, hence the leopard and the pink but just a touch of it. I saw those pink heels at Zara and honestly it was love at first sight. They just seemed so....different and unusual but in a good kind of way.

Anyhu, it's Monday! Happy Memorial day/Happy Monday!

Yours Truly,

Marcie
