Leather Fringe, Emerald and Gloom

I think from this post and from a lot of my previous ones you can make certain assumptions about me: I like leather and I like those shoes. If you did make those assumptions, you are completely correct lol.

I have a really bad caffeine buzz right now so my thoughts are everywhere lol. I think I have had maybe 4 large cups within the last 3-4 hours....yea....I'm an caffeine-aholic :/ So everything makes sense, I;m going to number my thoughts for the day lol. Here goes:

1. I don't know whether it's because the weather is changing or if I'm just changing but my wardrobe seems to be gravitating towards the dark side. I took a step back this morning and realized I have so much black, dark red, leather...dude.....what's going on? lol.

2.Zara had that EXACT same skirt in the spring for almost $100 and guess what? Now Forever 21 has them for $30. If you are feeling it I say go get them like NOW because there was only one left in my size and that was last week. Speaking of which, I havent done a trend on a budget post in a while. My apologies; it seemed to have slipped my mind but no worries I should have a couple up this month.

3. This is my crazy hair when I haven't straightened it. One of the many times you will see it in this state this semester. So please dont judge me *in Chris Brown voice* lol

4. A friend of mine is in a iHeartRihanna contest on twitter so PLEASE RETWEET HERE so he can meet her <3 Thank youuuu! :) I hope it's not too late

6. I should be a having a give-away soon *YAY* and this week you will be meeting my lovely photographer and makeup artist from New Orleans

7. Lastly, a little word about the Summer-to-Fall transition. Since the weather is still manageable, use this time to update your fall/winter wardrobe and deal with the occasional chill with an oversized sweater over any summer outfit. A nice leather jacket and tights should help you into fall.

Now back to le books, I have a 20-page lab report due tomorrow, topped off with an exam, oh and did i mention I have a presentation (which I'm not prepared for) on Tuesday and another exam on Thursday and problem sets due....FUN! -_____-  If anyone wants to skype....i should be up till 5am...or so? lol

The Meadow Dress

 I'm going to be short today since I have a pile of work to do. Oh, the life of college student!

I saw this dress at H&M and my jaw dropped. There were only three of these on the rack and I swear my heart skipped a beat. Fortunately, there was one dress left in MY SIZE! I was so happy that night, I decided to walk all the back to campus lol. This form-fitting midi, has this amazing graphic print at the bottom of the sleeves and the dress itself -perfect for a night out with le girls or on date and even for a formal. I guess the print is a meadow or swamp or creek or.....i don't know, it's just pretty and I love it.

Leather for Fall

WE ARE NUMBE ONE!!! :O :D

I changed into flats as sort of a back-to-school / walking-around-campus look :)

Today it was announced that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is THE BEST university in the WORLD! I am so very proud to attend an institute of such caliber. YAY! :) Go MIT!

ANYWAY, because I was oh so happy I decided to post something today. As some of you can tell, Leather is one of those things I LOVE. I really can't count the number of leather  or leather -looking items in my closet. When I saw those pant and THOSE SHOES (Gold and Studded perfection with a lady-like twist) and I was like, "MINE!" lol. Plus, it's actually getting pretty chilly here :/ so it's about time we all start preparing for next season.

I still have one more post from New Orleans which will go up end of the week AND I plan on introducing you all you Janine Joffe and Maria Barreda (my wonderful photographer and Makeup Artist in New Orleans) next week so keep an eye out lovelies :)

My Little Black Summer Dress

The St. Elizabeth's House was once an asylum and then it was owned by author Anne Rice and now it has been refurbished into GORGEOUS apartments in a very beautiful part of nola. There is, however, a little rumor that the building (or area around it) is haunted O_o

Yesterday, I decided to go for a simple black vest dress. It was a hot, extremely humid day and for some weird reason i was in that black-dress-wearing mood. Of course i didn't bring any of my black dresses with me to nola except this which I usually wear under a longer sheer maxi dress. In an extremely minimalistic fashion i opted to go all black with little embellishment - just the gold chain and bag. Sometimes, less is more, yes? yes! :)

That bag, i saw in a boutique on magazine street for $20 :o . I was bouncing off the walls! I'm sure the sales person  thought i was crazy. It reminds me a lot of the classic Chanel flap bag. Of course, nothing beats Chanel but for that price... :) it won my heart
